Baiduri Bank At BITEX
By Izam S Ya'akub,
Bandar Seri
Begawan - The upcoming Brunei Information and Communications
Technology Exhibition (BITEX) 2005, which will be held at Atrium Hall
in The Mall from March 30 to April 3, is going to be participated by
Baiduri Bank.
A press release yesterday stated that
the bank plans to showcase its upgraded Personal and Business
services, which incorporate an enhanced security feature called the
Token. This is a handheld device based on a strong two-factor
authentication.
To access i-Banking services,
registered users will be issued a Personal Identification Number (PIN)
and Token. Once the Challenge Key is entered, the Token will generate
a Response Key for users to log in or confirm a banking transaction.
This is in addition to other security
features such as 128-bit SSL encryption, sign on alert, automatic
time-out and 24-7 monitoring.
During the five-day event, Baiduri's
Customer Services staff will be on hand to demonstrate the Token's
use, as well as provide information on its Personal and Business i-Banking
services, ranging from account enquiries and electronic fund
transfers, to bill payments.
The latter allows users to pay their
bills to service providers like DSTCom easily and conveniently.
Registered Business iBanking users will also be able to perform limits
enquiry, manage payroll, view complete an audit trail of account
activities and follow up on pending transactions with a secure online
environment and different levels of access control.
An Internet kiosk will be available
at Baiduri Bank's booth for interested customers to navigate around,
as well as explore various features of its Personal and Business i-Banking.
They may also register for this service on the spot.
As a special promotion, Baiduri Bank
will also be offering its MTV MasterCard Electronic CashCard at 50 per
cent discount.
With an annual fee of B$7.50,
cardholders will have access to a host of benefits including
acceptance at over 32 million establishments and over 900,000 ATMs
worldwide, online payment as well as attractive discounts and
privileges at some of the most popular stores in Brunei.
On top of that, limited edition MTV
merchandises will also be given away with every purchase, on a
first-come-first-serve basis. --
