Borneo Cup Yachting Challenge

Organisers
of the Borneo Cup Yachting Challenge (BCYC) 2005 are calling for more
participants from the Sultanate to take part in the contest.
Malai
Hashim bin Malai Hassan, an officer at the Labuan Tourism Action
Council said at present there is only one team from Brunei Darussalam
out of seven that have confirmed their participation.
The yacht race is scheduled to be
flagged off in Labuan on April 18 and participating teams must reach
the final destination in Miri.
Malai
Hashim said the race will be participated by yachting teams in the
region such as from Singapore, Brunei, Malaysia, Philippines,
Thailand, Australia and New Zealand.
He said BCYC has become well known to
yachters and sailing enthusiasts in the region as a major sporting
event.
There will also be post event
packages on diving, jungle trekking, caves exploration, longhouse
tours and jungle expedition.
