Teachers attend Educational
Psychology seminar

Teachers from Nusa Laila Puteri and
Nusa Jaya School yesterday attended a seminar cum workshop on
'Educational Psychology'.
The event held at the Scout Complex
in Jalan Gadong was to equip and develop teachers' knowledge as well
as to enhance and hone their skills in teaching.
During the morning session, the
teachers attended two lectures presented by Chandraseagran Suppiah, a
senior lecturer and Head of the Department of Psychology at the
Universiti Brunei Darussalam, and Pg Hjh Jamilah Pg Hj Othman, a
fellow lecturer at the department.
They spoke on 'Principle of
Educational Psychology in Teaching and Learning' and 'Psychology in
the Classroom' respectively.
Workshops were later conducted in the
afternoon with a question and answer session before certificates were
presented to the participating teachers.
Designed to reinforce teachers'
abilities with the latest psychological approach, the seminar cum
workshop is part of Nusa Laila Puteri School's efforts to prepare
teachers in a way that may augment their knowledge and skills in
moulding children.
The teachers had also attended
in-house seminar and workshop on teaching music, science and
mathematics prior to yesterday's day-long training.
Also present at the seminar workshop
were Dr. Pg Amir Mohd Yussof bin Pg Abbas Al-Haj, President of the
school, and Cikgu Hjh Sharifah Noor binti Syed Ibrahim, Chairperson of
the Executive Committee.
