Hj Osmar Holds On To Win HM Golf
Challenge

Begawan - It was a close battle, but eventually Hj Osmar
Duraman prevailed to win His Majesty's Golf Challenge Trophy 2006
yesterday, on a count-back, after carding a 64 for his round.
180 golfers took part in the two-day
tournament organised by the Royal Brunei Golf and Country Club in
conjunction with His Majesty the Sultan's 60th birthday this year,
which also offered Hyundai cars - Tucson, New Accent, Coupe and Getz,
sponsored by Setia Motors Sdn Bhd - for aces at holes 3, 8, 13 and 16
respectively.
Meanwhile, the Division A category
win was claimed by Hj Md Idris Hj Md Noor for his score of 69,
Division B by Amalul Rahman on a countback with his 70, and Division C
by Faizal Yunus who scored a 71.
Chang Aim Hong won for "nearest to
the pin" at hole 8, Hj Momin Hj Sawal for "nearest to the line, and Pg
S Hassanal AlHaj for the "longest drive" at hole 7. Unfortunately
No-one won the cars on offer for "holes-in-one".
Giving away prizes to the winners
were the Health Minister Pehin Dato Seri Setia Hj Suyoi, the South
Korean ambassador to Brunei, His Excellency Mr Hwang, and the Managing
Director of Setia. Motors, Hj Abdul Rahim bin Latif.
