Knowledge Forum In Tutong

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Convention of Knowledge (Majlis Ilmu) forum was held at the Tutong Community Hall and attended by Minister of Communications, Pehin Dato Hj Awg Abu Bakar bin Hj Apong, last Saturday.

Chaired by Dato Paduka Awg Hj Sumadi bin Hj Sukaimi, panelists included Deputy State Mufti, Pehin Dato Hj Awang Suhaili bin,Hj Mohiddin, Dato Paduka Dr Hj Abdul Latif bin Hi Ibrahim and Dato Paduka Hj Ahmad bin Kadi.

The Majlis Ilmu or Convention of Knowledge was organised by the Prime Minister's Office and held in conjunction with His Majesty's birthday celebrations.

Officially opened by His Majesty, this year's convention carries the .theme "Sovereign Monarch, Blessed Nation and People on Righteous Direction".

Also present was the Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, Dato Eusoff Agaki Hj Ismail. He is also the Chairman of the Steering Committee for the Convention of Knowledge.

The next forum will be held in Belait District on August 8, and in Temburong District on August 10.

Due to overwhelming response, the "RajaPayongNegara", "Kedaulatan Raja" and "Artifak Kedaulatan Raja-Raja Nusantara" exhibitions at the International Convention Centre have been extended until August 11 by the Steering and Working Committee for the Convention of Knowledge Exhibition 2006. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
