World Cup SMS Quiz Winners Receive Prizes

Bandar Seri Begawan - A total of 56,735 entries were received for the recent World Cup SMS Quiz, with 135,769 for the World Cup Champion, 44,326 points for the Fulltime Score Quiz and 156,545 for the "Cakap- Cakap Bola" held during broadcasts of the 44-day long 2006 World Cup event.

This was revealed by the RTB's Director, Hj Mohd Yusof Hj Abd Rahman, in his welcoming speech during the prize presentation held at Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex in the capital.

The ceremony's guest of honour was Hj Ahmad Hj Abd Rahman, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office. The "Cakap- Cakap Bola" winners were then presented with their prizes by Mohd Taha Hj Mohd Tahir, Project Director of the World Cup for RTB.

Prizes for the World Cup Fulltime Score Quiz were presented to the winners by Hj Abd Manap Hj Adam, Acting Head of the News, Current Affairs and Sports Section.

The winners of the World Cup Champion were presented with their prizes by Hj Osman Hj Mohammad, Acting Deputy Director of RTB.

The World Cup Quiz winners meanwhile received their prizes from RTB's Director, Hj Mohd Yusof Hj Abd Rahman.

Lastly, the guest of honour presented the grand prize, which was a brand new Toyota Avanza. On hand to receive the grand prize on behalf of its winner, Sopian Jaili, was Istasmawati Mustafa, a representative.
